Mostly Harmless?
About Me
Whether or not you recognize the title of a Douglas Adams book, thank you for clicking on the link that brought you here. My rationale for defining myself in such an odd way is because I have never quite figured out what people mean when they say they are normal. Of the many folks I have met on my life's journey, I cannot say that I have found one person who is perfectly average and, if I had, my admiration and pity would have been equal.
Like many people, when interested in something, my dedication to that cause is intense. It is in that moment of intensity that I might become harmful--or at least decidedly different and anything but normal. This might be something as research-worthy as a question from a co-worker or student to a self-imposed challenge to make something come into reality that I have never seen before.
My history has been peppered by different jobs, different goals, and different outcomes. What follows is an abbreviated version of my resume.
